Lena we’ve got your back & we love you. Girls can play football - you’re a part a movement to change the game for all girls. We love you & support you! Not only did I play Womens football with the best in the world - the usnft (and win GOLD medals - yes we can win GOLD medals in FOOTBALL), but I also played pro football against MEN as the first woman to play Pro Football as a Non Kicker - and then Coached the BEST men in the Game as the first woman to coach in the nfl - football is a great place to defy stereotypes! This video is clearly not about dogs… I originally just posted on my TikTok, hoping to get a few responses for my little girl and it’s blown up into one of the most positive things ever … so I’m bringing it here. I’m hoping that the same positivity will occur and women can support and empower each other just like they have been on TikTok!!

Please note that this moment between my daughter and I happened after we had discussed everything and after she was done crying… she did start crying again in the video. After it was done, I let her watch it back and asked her if this was really something she wanted posted or if she wanted to redo it or wanted to change her mind and not want something posted at all. She said to go ahead and post and then I ask her mother ultimately made the decision to do it.

“This one is for the girlies! We’ve hit an age where she doesn’t just believe me anymore. She doesn’t see any girls who ever play (American) football. She’s the only one that joins the boys at recess and she has been getting knocked down pretty hard by others. Please help show my baby that other badass women are out there!”
