## Caption

New Life Church once bragged about driving away drug dealers from the Drake neighborhood, where it grew to become a major landowner. At its peak, hundreds of young people lived in the church’s properties.

Over the years its properties have fallen into disrepair and become a blight on the neighborhood. 

Some properties have been sold to Invest_DSM, a neighborhood revitalization nonprofit, but concerns remain about other properties.
