Perhaps that's what why illustrator Jaime Ramirez to render the Green Paladin in 3D. "I have been a fan of Voltron since the original series from the 1980s," Ramirez said of bringing Pidge to the third dimension. "So when my friend and artist Chris Palmer chriscpalmer asked me to sculpt Pidge from the Netflix series, I was honored and took on the challenge. Pidge was a great character from the series, and it was a lot of fun to work on. I'm very happy with the final sculpt." Voltron cosplayers have pointed out that it can be challenging to recreate the Paladin armor because traditional animation allows the VLD artists to cheat on the depth of some of the angles. How did Ramirez account for this? "It was a challenge sculpting Pidge in some aspects but I have to thank the amazing sculpting program ZBrush maxonzbrush and my 3D teachers Shane Olson 3dcharacterworkshop and Pablo Munoz Gomez pablander for preparing me with their workshops to take on any sculpting challenge. The key is to work from simple to complex and taking it bit by bit, making adjusting along the way until it's finished," he explains. "Thank you for showcasing my art.
