According to Trump, the gold card which was introduced in February, is intended to permit wealthy immigrants to reside and work in the U.S. replacing the EB-5 immigrant investor visa program. According to Forbes, EB-5s originally created in 1990, were for immigrants to obtain green cards if they invested at least $800,000 in a company that employs at least 10 people.
