Dan Corey’s story is a masterclass in turning campus opportunity into national impact.

As a student at Rutgers, Dan wasn’t just studying journalism — he was living it. From running The Daily Targum during a pivotal referendum year to landing a 1-on-1 interview with President Obama, he proved that big stories can start on campus.

With hands-on experience at dailytargum and wrsurutgersradio, Dan built the skills that launched him into an internship with CBS News, the NBC Page Program, and now a role covering breaking news on the national stage.

His advice? Say yes to every opportunity and trust that what you're doing at Rutgers does matter. "I was able to show I could do the job at NBC because I was a part of WRSU and The Daily Targum."
