It’s an automotive enthusiast’s dream to rocket around in a burbling, high-powered beast of a station wagon, but here in the U.S., it’s a fantasy that can be hard to fulfill. As of late last year, there was just one gas-burning super-wagon option: the Audi RS6 Avant Performance.

Then, earlier this year, BMW shattered the status quo by bringing its fire-breathing M5 station wagon to the States. Now, Mercedes-AMG wants back in on the action. For the first time since 2023 and the old E63 S Wagon, Mercedes will offer an AMG station wagon in America: the 2026 Mercedes-AMG E53 Hybrid Wagon.
