MORE ABBY. Every year, tourism week is highlighted by destinations and businesses across the country and this year it is from April 7th-11th. It is a time to reflect on our values as a nation, including resilience, peace, tolerance and inclusivity. A theme is chosen each year — this year it is Canada: Powered by Tourism! 💪

Tourism is powerful. It:

-drives economic growth with over 16,000 tourism businesses in BC alone
-fuels consistent employment growth 
-supports diverse and well-paying careers from international salespeople and outdoor guides to helicopter pilots and ski intructors
-improves our quality of life with experiences from events and festivals to wine tours and museums
-helps to preserve, share and celebrate our culture and heritage
-remove barriers creating a sense of world citizenship!
