It's super strange to me that @SBakerMD is being criticized for stating "we don't know" if #carnivore is healthy in the long term where long term data do not exist yet.

That's a very scientific position -- and one I definitely hold myself.

I know it's an unpopular position, but a big part of why I don't comment often on nutrition science is that it is difficult to control for Healthy User Bias.

And again, this is why we need good data coming from studies like our own (#LMHRstudy) which may well have a large preponderance of participants with diets high in red meat & saturated fat, for example.

Long term population data on folks consuming this diet are not available yet, but I appreciate @SBakerMD's emphasis on this unknown and advocating for us to gather it through research.
