Happy New Year's Eve! Before we start our count down to 2025, we want to take a moment to journey through this historic year we've experienced at the Rubin. 

In 2024, we opened #Reimagine Himalayan Art Now featuring 32 artists, debuted a new visual identity, and launched a new website with #ProjectHimalayanArt and the digital evolution of #SpiralMagazine at its core. But most significantly, we said farewell to our 17th Street building and transformed into our new identity as a museum without walls. 

Doing so empowered us to further expand our reach beyond NYC: our traveling exhibitions “Gateway to Himalayan Art” and "Reimagine" continued to find new temporary homes around the world, and we brought the traveling #MandalaLab to Italy!

We also strengthened our anchors in our beloved home of New York through partnerships and collaborations such as the brooklynmuseum becoming the first temporary home for our #TibetanBuddhistShrineRoom (Summer 2025), newyorkinsight becoming the new host venue for our #MindfulnessMeditation sessions, and announced an annual Rubin Lecture Series at the metmuseum. 

We know saying goodbye to what is loved and familiar has been a challenge for our community and for us, but we can’t wait to see what the new year has in store for us all. Thank you for visiting, following, and supporting the Rubin this past year. We hope to see you in 2025!
