“Vajrabhairava looks terrifying but actually symbolizes the end of suffering/cycle of rebirth and the achievement of nirvana. This sculpture is only about 4" tall and yet it is so powerful and imposing (and the object is very heavy for its size!). From the consort Vajravetali to the implements in his hands and the figures at his feet, there is so much to take in and every time I see this work, I stare at it for an unreasonable amount of time because it's mesmerizing.”
