As moms, our voices matter! 💪🏽 Margarita Mota, a mom from WA State, shared her personal story in support of HB 1213, which aims to strengthen worker protections in our state 's Paid Medical & Family Leave program. After only two weeks postpartum, Margarita returned to work for fear of losing her job. 
As Margarita puts it: "This bill would have made a difference in my own life. If I had had job protection, I would have used my full benefit [Paid Medical & Family Leave]. A benefit I paid into, worked enough hours to earn, and had a qualifying health condition to use. Returning to work after only two weeks postpartum was incredibly difficult. I am testifying today because I don't want other new moms or parents to go through what I did.
