To kick off #BlackHistoryMonth, explore #TheCityisOurCanvas, the new campaign crafted by Converse x For Freedoms creatives: Photographer Denise Stephanie Hewitt (thedenisestephanie), Producer Carly Heywood (carlycaar), Art Director Ana Rice (theanarice), Videographer Sef Akins (sefmckinley), Stylist Xavier “X” Means (internet.x), and Narrative Designer Rivers Chowdhry-Cahee (riverscahee), and blackdiscourse.co.

Commissioned by converse, the new campaign draws inspiration from the expansive imaginative energy of the Harlem Renaissance. Working together, these multi-hyphenate artists conceptualized, shot, and produced the campaign, enlisting their talents and using the city as their muse and playground.
