NEVER FORGET. NEVER AGAIN. 

When designing this billboard, For Freedoms co-founder ericgottesman considered the complex relationship between nationalism and antisemitism: "When I placed phrases related to how we talk about the Holocaust—'Never Again' and 'Never Forget'—next to each other, I noted the difference between 'Forget' and 'Again,' between the past and the future, between memory and action. I took visual elements of nationalistic language—the colors and shapes used on Israeli, German, Palestinian, LGBTQIA+, and American flags —to invite the viewer to ask along with me: how can we begin to see the past and the present differently so that we never forget again?" 

“Never Again” has been installed in Atlanta, GA in partnership with orange_barrel_media for The Highest Form of Wisdom is Kindness, a For Freedoms campaign aimed at combating antisemitism. Prompted as a rebuttal to alarming rates of violence and hate speech directed toward Jewish people, each billboard was created to affirm our collective commitment to freedom of worship and the principles of justice.
