Today on #DemocracyDay and National #VoterRegistrationDay, we spotlight For Freedoms artist jennyholzerstudio's light projections on democracy titled, "THE PEOPLE," displayed on the facade of the hirshhorn museum every evening from dusk to 11 pm through September 21. 

The installation shares words from James Baldwin to John Lewis, and celebrates the 60th anniversary of artinembassies and its Democracy Collection initiative, which features our touring For Freedoms photographs in an exhibition at the smithsonian National Museum of American History.
