#WorldAutismAwarenessDay 💙 Meet 14-year-old Chase of Sacramento, California, and his #servicedog, Gill. Chase has autism, and Gill is always by his side to provide the support he needs to be more independent. 

Gill's calm presence in public places allows Chase and his mom, Colleen, to go on more adventures. Gill uses his "cover" cue to calmly lay his body on Chase to provide deep pressure when needed.

And that bandana you see around his neck? That's a sanjosesharks bandana. 🦈🏒 The Sharks were Gill's teammates during his puppyhood, as he served as the team's influencer pup before going into professional training at the Northwest Region Training Center in Santa Rosa, California. 

Now, Chase and Gill are lifelong partners, as Gill provides greater independence, confidence and love, so Chase can live his life to the fullest!
