Dana Cowin’s #ProgressiveHedonist came to ōkta Farm! fwscout created this project to inspire impactful conversations around climate change, while enjoying the pleasures of really. good. food. 🧀 The event was co-hosted by Feast Co-Founder, mikethelin and Chefs: mclightner naomipomeroy petercho and karikihara 🫛We were joined by representatives from national media outlets like saveurmag and wsj , Oregon regenerative farmers, and representatives from oregonorganiccoalition and ctgrgov (The Confederated Grand Ronde Tribe). This event was part of the Good Food Awards Weekend, which brought hundreds of sustainable food producers, journalists, and policy advocates to Oregon. Cheers! 🥂

Here’s what we ate!

🍅Welcome drink by straightawaycocktails – ōkta Farms smoked tomato water, Accompani Mari Gold Amaro, Verjus Rouge, salt, honey, lemon

🧄Appetizer by karikihara – Green garlic top Aji Verde dip with a salad of spring radishes & their tops, and sourdough flatbread

🥬Starters by naomipomeroy – Green garlic & potato soup, green market salad with red wine vinaigrette 

🥩Mains by mclightner and petercho – Beef short ribs in sauce, pork Bo Ssam, pickles & ferments of vegetable trimmings, steamed cabbage, Misozuke squash with dressing made from overproduced cucumbers, stewed beans, and polenta

☕️Dessert by karikihara – Pâte à Choux with black sesame Dutch crunch, rhubarb top syrup, earl grey cream, and poached rhubarb
