Tis the season to…get out in the elements, sink deeper into sleep, eat the extra meatball and cook for friends! ❄️🍝

Some of these things might be for you and some might not, that’s ok too. Winter however you winter best!!! 🕯️

Lately, I’ve become obsessed with Nordic cultures and how they endure much longer winters than ours. Cal pointed out this term friluftsliv, meaning open-air living or, moving your body outside no matter the weather. It’s typically followed by doing some comforting and cozy afterwards (cue hygge — ultimate coziness). I just love this concept so much. Do something challenging or uncomfortable and then replenish. Think: cold plunge to sauna. 🔥

I’m no expert here, just fascinated by it all. I read “Wintering” last year and I think that’s a great place to start. Interested to learn more if anyone has other recommendations!
