So this year I’m embarking on a challenge with Sony Alpha Female to photograph a piece of art every week for 52 weeks. This is a bit important to me because I remember when I was younger I would always attempt a “365 days” challenge but could quite never see myself through. Now that I’m older and have a little more tools in my pocket, I’m excited to try something like this again. 

This weeks theme was “Beginning” and since spring is here, what a great way to start out. Florals are my absolute favorite thing. I love beautiful arrangements especially at events like weddings. If I could live in a floral field for the rest of my life - I would. Just ask Erik. 

I’m trying to be more fun with my art this year, so 2025 is a whole new beginning for me. This photo symbolizes a fresh start in my outlook on my photography and how things are beginning to really bloom for me creatively. I’m thankful for my community and I can’t wait to share my 52-week challenge journey with you!
