## Caption

Being an artist in 2024 seems more like an entrepreneurial role; self sufficient in editing, engineering & a multi media producer. You have to be pretty tech savvy & on the forefront of plugins & AI tools in order to get everything done as a ‘one person band’, but is this better or worse than times gone by? Being owned by majors, shelved or popularised at the click of a finger & making others millions while you struggle to earn 5% what your project made? What would you choose? 

As well as showcasing the best emerging artist on the recent #AusDanceRevival tour, I wanted to showcase young people invested in the scene, it’s problems & how to rebuild it. A young podcaster behindthetune_ hit me up & I loved what he was about. I found a 2hr window on my way to the airport & ended up with an invigorating extended convo, covering my career, problems of the present & solutions for the future.
