This is Shell, produced in 1970 illustrates all of Shell’s activities worldwide, and how these processes benefit the customer. There is no dialogue, instead a combination of image and music provides the commentary. The result is an impressionistic look at the world of Shell and its activities.

Since 1934, Shell’s Film Archive has captivated audiences with films on technology, science, engineering, craftsmanship, motorsport, and travel. The celebrated Shell Film Unit, part of Britain’s Documentary Movement, featured key figures like Jack Beddington and John Grierson.

These films, often shown in cinemas and educational venues, ranged from Shell’s technological innovations to general public education. During WWII, the unit produced vital training films for the Ministry of Information.
