At the Tops in Texas award ceremony this afternoon at the ILPC spring journalism convention, ILPC director Alyssa Boehringer announced the Tops in Texas winners. After the organization gave out Individual Achievement Awards based on UIL classification (MacJ is 5A), ILPC subjected all the first place winners in each category to a second round of judging to determine one sole Tops in Texas state champion in each individual category. The Shield collected 15 of them today. This was our Tops in Texas winner in the sole social media category.
