Fans of the sitcom “Martin” remember many of the show’s classic episodes, including the ones that starred #TommyDavidson as #VarnellHill. Years later, Varnell is getting his own spinoff show.

According to deadline, “Varnell Hill” has gotten an eight-episode straight-to-series order from BET+. #MartinLawrence co-created and executive produced the show with Bentley Evans, who was the executive producer/showrunner for “Martin.” Tommy Davidson is reprising his role as Varnell.

Tommy commented on the series and said, “Did you miss me? Well, now you don’t have to! I’m excited and honored to be a part of such a creative project with the brilliant mind of Martin Lawrence, over 30 years in the making. Fans have requested it, and now it’s coming.”
