Our at-home #DJspotlight this week is noisyboi! He does production, clean-editing, and sound mixing for KCPR in addition to his career as a DJ. 

If you want to get a feel for what’s usually played on his show, “On Saturdays, I play anything that's loud, goofy, or experimental. On Sundays, I play anything that's poetic, groovy, or hard-hitting!”

We asked noisyboi when he typically likes to record: “Middle of the night - for whatever reason, the sleep deprivation makes me a one-take wonder. My neighbors probably hate me though.”

As for any recording rituals, noisyboi is with DJ Dingus on his beverage of choice. “Crack open a la croix, turn on my color changing lights, and turn off all my ceiling fans (gotta get that professional studio sound!!!). Sometimes my dog joins me.”
