## Caption

“For as the rain and the snow come down from heaven and do not return there but water the earth, making it bring forth and sprout, giving seed to the sower and beard to the eater, so shall my word be that goes out from my mouth; it shall not return to me empty, but it shall accomplish that which I purpose, and shall succeed in the thing for which I sent it.” -Isaiah 55:10-11

There is purpose in every drop of water that falls from heaven. It quenches thirst, sustains life, cools the heat, protects what is tender, and washes what is stained. It ebbs, flows, trickles, rushes, and cascades—until, having fulfilled its mission, it rises again to the skies. So it is with the Word of God. It never returns empty. Every verse, every promise, every purpose sent forth from His mouth bears fruit in its time. As Spurgeon put it, ‘until the snow and the rain return to heaven, and mock the ground which they promised to bless, the word of God shall never return to him void’. Christ Himself came like the rain and snow—sent with a purpose. He loved, served, suffered, died, and rose again. He did not return to the Father until His mission was finished–after His death and resurrection. Through His victory, we are made white as snow, washed clean, and invited into eternal life with a loving Father.

Recently I had the privilege to compete in The Wildlife Society SE Conclave, where I submitted the above photo and won 2nd place landscape photo! Praise God for the opportunity to share His creation and beauty, and thanks be to Him for blessing me with these gifts.
