This April, student artists from the Class of 2025 were honored for their achievement in the arts with St. Andrew's Fine Arts Awards. Congratulations, Highlanders! 

"Art and artists' incredible purpose in society is to help express human emotion in a way that transcends words," said Head of Upper School, Steven Fletcher, Ph.D. 

"Painter and printmaker Edward Hopper once said, 'If I could say it in words, there would be no reason to paint,'" he continued. "I'd like to believe that the students' drive and determination, coupled with the expertise of our Fine Arts instructors, allow our student-artists to produce works that evoke emotion, allowing the observer to continue the conversation about the message they think the artist is communicating."
