LIONS EARN HOME POOL TRIUMPS: The jserra.swimmingdiving Boys and Girls teams each enjoyed successful showings in their home pool on Wednesday.

On the boys side, the Lions defeated the St. John Bosco Braves 90.5-79.5 in a Trinity League battle.

Junior Nolan Baker was a two-event winner, as he posted a CIF consideration time in the 50 Freestyle (22.04) and won the 500 Freestyle (5:01.14).

Senior Taylor Bell (54.10) claimed victory in 100 Butterfly, with junior Connor Colman (49.69) touching the wall first in the 100 Freestyle.

The duo teamed with Baker and sophomore Joseph Wraith to take home the win in the 200 Freestyle Relay in 1:28.15, while also combining forces with Baker and senior Wyatt Boyd earn the win in the 400 Freestyle Relay in 3:20.04.

On the girls’ side, the Lions dispatched the Crean Lutheran Saints 104-24.

Senior Ava Withey won the 200 Individual Medley in a CIF consideration time of 2:13.37. 

Senior Caroline Powell clocked a CIF consideration win of 5:19.32 in the 500 Freestyle.

Withey, Powell, sophomore Claire Wilson, and senior Elle Treska teamed together to win the 400 Freestyle Relay in 3:51.50.

Withey, Treska, senior Danielle Shin, and junior Andrea Bintintan joined forces to win the 200 Freestyle Relay in a time of 1:47.24.

Powell, Wilson, Shin, and senior Karissa Hughes swam to victory in the 200 Medley Relay in 1:57.96.

Hughes (27.41) won the 50 Freestyle, junior Gabby Elbaz (2:06.94) was triumphant in the 200 Freestyle, and junior Juliette Ey (1:05.19) touched the wall first in the 100 Butterfly.
