We’re taking a moment to spotlight our finalists for the 2025 Illini Union Student Employee of the Year. Today we’re featuring: Stephany Perez!
 
“the building and its operations, coupled with her commitment to fostering a welcoming environment,  made her an invaluable asset to the team. As a Graduate Building Supervisor, Stephany has  embraced her role with professionalism and enthusiasm, ensuring the seamless operation of the  Illini Union while supporting both staff and visitors. 
 
Beyond her supervisory role, Stephany plays a crucial part in training new employees,  equipping them with the skills and knowledge necessary to succeed. She has also expanded her  expertise by becoming cross-trained in event services, multimedia, and building operations. This  versatility has not only strengthened the efficiency of our team but has also significantly enhanced  the overall operational effectiveness of the Illini Union.”
