But when confronted with visual proof such as this.. it’s been a lifetime…. MANY lifetimes in fact. I don’t reflect all that much. I’m a person who’s always focused on the next push forward. But when I stop to really take in how far I’ve come, it is truly amazing. 2013 • I started dancebody at 29 years old in NYC 2014 • I began hiring trainers 2015 • I started Hamptons classes 2016 • I launched DanceBody@Home and Miami 2017 • I found out my ex-BF stole money from DB 2018 • I opened NoMad & TriBeCa studios 2019 • I had a 40 person team and started LA classes 2020 • I got my company through Covid 2021 • I popped up more intensely in Miami 2022 • I created new equipment and classes 2023 • I had a baby at 40 2024 • I made a new plan for growth 2025 • I am still standing. 12 years is great, it feels good, but it’s really just a starting point. A series of starts and stops, successes and failures, highs and lows. Social media can make things look successful overnight. Because of my hard earned wisdom, I know it’s not real. And I wish others understood that as well. It’s all earned. Or it’s all fake. It takes a really long time to do it well, to do it right, and to do it consistently enough to learn.
