## Caption

Tuesday night’s showdown between the Riverwood Raiders and Sprayberry Jackets was one to remember for the Seniors. Senior Maxwell Bodenheimer started the game on the mound for the Raiders, sitting the Jackets batters down in order in the top of the 1st inning. The Raider Offense took the early energy from Bodenheimer, and came right back in the bottom of the 1st inning with two runs following a Robert Hicks sacrifice fly scoring Marco Nunez, and a passed ball that scored Senior Cole Williams.

Bodenheimer continued his strong performance through the 2nd inning before handing the game over to Senior Andrew Chronopoulos in the 3rd inning with one out. The Raiders stayed hot at the plate with Senior Brady Shannon leading off the bottom of the 3rd with a triple to centerfield. Senior Cooper Bernath followed Shannon with an RBI single over the shortstop’s head.

The Raiders held the 3-0 lead until the 6th inning with strong performances on the mound from a host of seniors, including Chronopoulos, Bernath, and Andrew Berndsen. In the bottom of the 6th, the Raider Offense exploded once again — Senior Gavin Braun with a leadoff walk, Senior Simon Tourial singled to left, and Senior Asa Murray loaded the bases with an infield hit to the left side. With the bases loaded, Braun would score on a passed ball, followed by a two-RBI single by Williams to clear the bases. Berndsen added a seventh run with a sacrifice fly to right field. Up 7-0 headed to the top of the 7th inning.

After Berndsen secured the first out of the 7th inning, Senior Padgett Wilson, the four-year starter, entered next. With Wilson warming up, the Raiders were able to give the Seniors a final curtain call, removing all 9 Senior starters simultaneously. After a long double by the Jackets, Wilson secured the final out of Senior Night with the Raiders on top 7-2.

The guys head to Sprayberry tonight for a doubleheader starting at 5:30 pm.
