#TerrierTuesdays: Meet Rebecca Peng (bu_cas’25)! Originally from Orlando, Florida, Rebecca’s transition to BU was challenging. She transferred to BU her sophomore year through the guaranteed transfer program. She chose BU because of its strong academic reputation and many opportunities. She started as an Economics major and switched majors a couple of times throughout her first year. Currently, Rebecca is a senior majoring in Political Science with a minor in Business Administration. Outside the classroom, she is the Vice President for Transition to Boston University (transitiontobu), an Opinion Columnist at The Daily Free Press (dailyfreepress), a member of Phi Alpha Delta Pre-Law Fraternity (bu_pad), and a member of Tri-Alpha Honor Society (bu_newburycenter). She also works as a Student Assistant at the BU Law Library and has worked as a Project Intern for the Asian Pacific Islander American Public Affairs Association and as a Government Relations Intern for PayIt. After graduation, Rebecca plans to take a gap year and then work at a law office as an Office Assistant before attending law school. When asked for a piece of advice she would share with her fellow Terriers, Rebecca said, “You have to put yourself out there! Your BU experience is what you make of it, and there is never harm in taking a chance.”
