🌍💫 What would we change if we saw #Earth as inseparable from ourselves?

Dekila Chungyalpa (dchungyalpa) shares her story of how turning to her faith has emboldened her work as the founding director of the Loka Initiative (loka.initiative), an organization ​​for faith leaders and culture keepers of Indigenous traditions working on environmental and climate issues.

“I come from a land and from a tradition where the people make prostrations as they circumambulate sacred mountains and lakes, taking refuge and purifying ourselves as we do so,” says Dekila. “And, in the act of taking refuge, we are taught to align our body with our mind and our spirit. Every meditation practice in Tibetan Buddhism shows us how.”
