mlb Commissioner Rob Manfred alluded to some upcoming news about a potential investment in softball as part of his appearance at #SBJWorldCongress today.

"Every place that we're doing baseball, we try to do softball alongside it," he said. 

Softball is a top five sport among high school girls and with the increased eyeballs on things like the Women's College World Series, it makes sense for MLB to find ways to tap into that fandom.
