Everyone say hi to Spencer! 👋

Spencer Weiters is a third-year Business Administration major with concentrations in Accounting, Data Analytics, and Management from Iva, South Carolina. Involved in many organizations at Presbyterian College, he shares with us why PC Giving Day is so meaningful to him.

1. What is your favorite part of being a part of the PC family?

My favorite part about being part of the PC family is the sense of community it brings and fosters. To come to a place where those around you genuinely care and support your endeavours is a very special thing, a concept PC achieves quite well. This community helps students find who they are in not only their career direction but also as individuals.

2. What makes Giving Day so special?

Giving day is so special because it gives you the opportunity to do what has been done for you. Those before us saw it as their duty to give back to the place that helped kick off their journey into adulthood, something we need to do as well. These gifts help provide the same opportunities we had for those who come after us. Understanding that investment in others is crucial, and Giving Day allows for that.

3. What is your best advice to PC students?

My best advice I could give to PC students is to take advantage of the opportunities available to you. When you go to a smaller, tighter-knit college, it gives you the chance to have opportunities that others normally do not receive. Take advantage of these opportunities that can show you how to be a leader on campus as well as in life after college. College is a place where you find yourself, so challenge who you are and get out of your comfort zone. You do this by seizing those opportunities made available for you.

Giving Day is less and 24 HOURS away! Check back tomorrow at Noon to kick the day off! 💙
