Have you checked out riobonitochurrascaria’s halal churrascaria yet? If so, what did you think? 🍖 I’ve already been back since my first visit. 😆

⚠️ Some pointers ⚠️

➡️ They are NOT fully halal. This is not a Muslim establishment. They started offering separate halal barbecue service in February due to the rising inquiries and requests to offer halal by Muslims in the surrounding neighborhoods. They also got rid of all the pork.

➡️ While they’re not fully halal, they’ve been trained to keep all meats separate from start to finish, including a whole separate facility for the halal meats.

➡️ They serve all diners a card to let your server know if you want halal service or not. They will only bring you halal barbecue to your table if you select halal service.

➡️ The entire buffet station is halal. To accompany your Brazilian barbecue, you go up to the buffet station to choose a range of starches, grains, meats (all halal), and salad bar.

➡️ They serve alcohol / have a bar, so if you are not comfortable with that you’re obviously under no obligation to dine here. They did make an entire mocktails menu to supplement this halal service.

➡️ Chicken is by machine. For all posts, I make an effort to find out whether the poultry is by hand or machine as poultry is often between these two and I understand many people have preferences on that.
