#therapydogthursday 🐾 If you travel deep within Central Florida, you'll come across this magical 232-acre property called Camp Boggy Creek. 🏕️ This camp, surrounded by nature and equipped with state-of-the-art facilities, believes in a heartwarming mission. They provide a free camp for children with serious medical illnesses and their families a space and experience where safety, respect, love and joy come together to enrich children's physical and behavioral health. 

Among the staff members, you'll find a furry, friendly face: Canine Companions #therapydog Javier! Javier was released from Canine Companions service dog training program due to having renal dysplasia, a kidney condition. But he stays plenty hydrated and eats a special diet to ensure he stays healthy to do his job! 

Linh Nguyen is the Camp’s director of nursing and Javier's handler. Javier happily prances and greets new campers upon arrival, welcoming each child and their family members. He also accompanies and sits with campers at the medical facility on site to provide calm and relaxation - and to simply be present and available for belly rubs! 

Javier also knows that it's also important to provide support to the staff as well, so he's always ready to offer a paw and opportunities for a much-needed belly rub, too! ❤️
