A growing memorial now stands outside a McDonald’s in Clovis after a shooting Wednesday night claimed the life of 18-year-old Caleb James Quick.

Just before 9 p.m., Clovis police responded to reports of gunfire in the Willow Shopping Center near Nees and Willow Avenues.

When officers arrived, they found Quick suffering from a gunshot wound. He was transported to a local hospital, where he later died.

Authorities say the suspect, who is still on the loose, was seen wearing a black hoodie and carrying a handgun.
