USA Hockey has officially announced the first 18 players named to the 2025 U.S. Men’s National Team, set to compete at the IIHF Men’s World Championship! 🏒🇺🇸⁣

This year’s roster is brimming with talent, including eight first-round NHL Draft picks, over 4,500 games of NHL experience, and 16 players who’ve already represented the U.S. on the international stage at past world championships. 💪⁣
•⁣
“We really like our team,” said Jeff Kealty, “We have a group with significant international experience, and I know our players are excited about representing our country on the world stage and competing for a gold medal.” 👏⁣

Before the puck drops in tournament play, Team USA will train in Düsseldorf, Germany, starting May 2, and will face off in a pre-tournament game against Germany on May 4. 👀⁣

The U.S. will officially open the championship on May 9 against host nation Denmark in Herning, with puck drop set for 8:20 p.m. local time/2:20 p.m. ET. All U.S. games throughout the tournament will be broadcast live on NHL Network. 📺⁣

Team USA has finished in the top four in six of the last ten IIHF Men’s World Championships and will look to add to their recent success, which includes three bronze medals earned in 2015, 2018, and 2021. 🏆 #thegist⁣
