The sunshine just feels so nice, we decided to stay in the Sunshine State for our Army ROTC #Cadetoftheweek ☀️

Meet Cednet Jean, a senior MBA/MS Supply Chain Scholar at Florida A&M University in Tallahassee, Florida. 

Jean currently serves in the U.S. Army Reserves as a 12N – a Horizontal Construction Engineer. He decided to try #ArmyROTC after seeing how much his first college roommate – a Cadet with the Rattler Battalion – accomplished before 10:00 a.m. each day. 

“I aimed to become the best within the battalion, giving everything I did my maximum effort. My goal had always been to exceed those top leaders within the battalion, as they served as mentors and leaders I looked up to and had hoped to become. With my competitive nature, they challenged and pushed me beyond my limits.” 

Jean has held numerous leadership positions within the Rattler Battalion. Outside of #ROTC, Jean volunteers with the Big Brother Little Brother Mentoring Program at FAMU, helping new freshman transition into college life.bHe is a member of the National Society of Pershing Rifles, Omega Psi Phi Fraternity, and is a member of the FAMU wrestling club.  He is also an active volunteer within the community. 

He wants to serve as a bridge builder for generations to come. 

“I want to serve as that mentor and leader people look up to, one whose presence and dedication stand out. I aim to leave a long-lasting legacy in every room I step foot in. I want to serve as a role model to others by living the Army leadership values and giving maximum effort in everything I partake in.”

After graduation, Jean plans to serve as an Engineering officer in the U.S. Army Reserves.

Fun fact: Jean had three pet turtles growing up 🐢
