#JSUGrad25: "I am filled with a profound sense of pride as I prepare to graduate from my mother’s alma mater. Losing her to cancer at the age of 14 was a significant hardship, but it has fueled my determination to become the best version of myself. I know she would be immensely proud of my accomplishments today.

I have forged invaluable connections, achieved remarkable milestones and set a precedent as one of the first Black female STEM majors to travel to Sweden for research through the University of New Hampshire and Jackson State University's new ecology/biology internship program. Jackson State has given me so much, and it’s only right that I go out into the world and do everything I set my mind to! 

Thank you, Jackson State—forever THEE I love!"
