Russia’s Defense Ministry has released footage of DPRK soldiers undergoing combat training.⁣

The announcement came as President Vladimir Putin thanked the DPRK military for what he called their “active role” in recapturing parts of Russia’s Kursk region.⁣

On Sunday, DPRK leader Kim Jong-un confirmed he had sent troops to Russia’s border area under the countries' new defense pact.⁣

Kremlin spokesperson Dmitry Peskov said Moscow would also provide military assistance to Pyongyang “if necessary.”⁣

Until now, both Moscow and Pyongyang had denied that DPRK forces were fighting alongside Russian troops.⁣
