Cover Art: Books + Playbills — This curated collection features thoughtful cover art where form and concept converge. For Toy Chest, I fulfilled the author’s vision of a shelf filled with significant objects from the book while adding a creative twist—scientific catalog tags resembling entomological labels to evoke the feeling of an anthropological study. Earworm explores familial tension through symbolic visuals, including stark imagery of a luxury high-rise tied to loss, while the approved final version featured the simple but striking image of the title’s typography squiggling its way into a woman’s ear. A personal favorite of mine is Foot Foul, a bowling alley murder mystery where I created a visual wordplay—pairing a classic “gumshoe” detective reference with a wad of gum stuck to the bottom of a bowling shoe.
