That was a crazy night last night. Things have finally been called: 𝗟𝗶𝗯𝗲𝗿𝗮𝗹 𝗺𝗶𝗻𝗼𝗿𝗶𝘁𝘆 𝗴𝗼𝘃𝗲𝗿𝗻𝗺𝗲𝗻𝘁.

172 seats are required for a majority. A majority government can pass laws easily, while a minority government has fewer seats and needs other parties' support to stay in power.

• Bloc Québécois: 22
• Conservative: 144
• Green Party: 1
• Liberal: 169
• NDP: 7 

Polls: 75,425 of 75,479 (99.93 %)

📌 Jagmeet Singh has said he's stepping down as NDP leader (and he lost his seat). The federal NDP have also lost official party status due the total collapse in support. 

📌 Pierre Poilievre lost his seat in Carleton to Liberal candidate Bruce Fanjoy. Pierre had held that seat since 2004. For the moment he's staying on as Conservative leader but it's TBD what will happen there.

📌 Liberal candidate Corey Hogan flipped Calgary Confederation. It had always been held by Conservatives since it's creation back in 2013 (formerly being part of Calgary Centre-North). 

📌 Conservative Greg McClean held on to Calgary Centre to defeat Liberal candidate Lindsay Luhnau.

📌 Interestingly, in #Kelowna, Liberal candidate Stephen Fuhr defeated the Conservative incumbent Tracy Gray by only 235 votes. 

📌 Alberta voted 63.5% Conservative, 27.9% Liberal, 6.3% NDP (and some smaller amounts to other tiny parties).

📌 Calgary voted 62.5% Conservative and 32.7% Liberal, 3.1% NDP, 0.6% PPC, 0.5% Green Party (and some smaller amounts to other tiny parties).

📌 In total voter turnout in Calgary was 70.28% of registered electors. 

📌 In total voter turnout in Alberta was 69.51% of registered electors. 

📌 In total voter turnout federally was 68.51% of registered electors (more than 19.5 million Canadians).
