How do you offer coaching to a lineup full of hall of famers and all stars ?

It takes being one of them and it takes a lot of feel for the role

You’re not gonna tell Trout or Mookie what to do mechanically, they got where they are because they can ball and they know what they’re doing 

He mentions rhythm… something that comes and goes, being ready “right now”… a mentality

He’s just guiding the ship 

Even the best of the best need coaching and redirecting. Just not in the same way most players do
