I had the honor of interviewing Liberty DeVitto — the powerhouse former drummer behind Billy Joel’s iconic sound — at the Raven Drum Foundation event. We talked future projects, his book, his love for the foundation, and his belief in the power of music to heal.

Liberty was truly disappointed to miss this year’s event, sharing how much the cause means to him. He called Raven Drum “an incredible force for healing,” supporting mental health, veterans, first responders, firefighters, and paving the way for more women to take their place in music. “There’s always room behind the kit,” he said.
