I had the pleasure of speaking at the Global Inclusive Growth Summit, hosted by the Mastercard Center for Inclusive Growth (cntr4growth) in D.C. This annual gathering brings together thinkers and leaders shaping our economic futures and working to create opportunities for everyone. Alongside Julius, we spoke with shamsoutandabout, President and Founder of the Center, about how philanthropy is evolving and what it means to give with purpose and connection. The stories we tell, the journeys we share and our lived experiences help us shift power and perception. It’s in this spirit that we founded the Davis/Tennon Foundation which supports community organizations addressing poverty, hunger, and domestic violence in my hometown of Central Falls, RI.

I was moved by the energy of the day, being in the room with so many smart and thoughtful leaders that want to move ideas into action, which should give all of us reason to be optimistic about creating a world of opportunity and growth for all.
