🤔 Did you know? 38% of Black people in the rural South still don’t have internet at home, compared to 23% of white residents. Nationwide, Black people have less broadband internet access, but they disproportionately bear the burden of technology’s environmental impact. AI data centers consume 1% of global electricity and are often placed in Black communities, straining water and energy resources and impacting health.

We deserve clean and affordable internet access that keeps us connected and doesn’t harm us. The new #BlackTechAgenda calls for proper e-waste management from Big Tech and increased tech infrastructure for all communities.
