“Brings people together.” “Fellowship time.” “A sense of community.”

A week’s worth of wet weather — including much of Saturday — didn’t dampen the mood during the 2025  pghmarathon on Sunday. The thousands of runners weaving through the city were met with eager spectators and volunteers in each neighborhood cheering them on.

Mulgeta Birhanu Feyissa of Ethiopia won the men’s race, and Chicago native Jane Bareikis won the women’s race for the second year in a row.

Dominic Ondoro edged out defending half marathon champion Wesley Kiptoo in a photo finish. They were separated, officially, by a single second.
