Still taking in all the love we’ve received here in beautiful Nain, Nunatsiavut. I’m here with my Breaking Down Barriers crew—directing this episode while also wearing my PWHL hat, leading community engagement, and this one’s special!

We’re spending a few days learning from and being welcomed by this incredible community, capturing the beauty of their everyday lives, their connection to hockey, and the strength of their stories. Today, we’ll be flying a group of girls from Nain to Montreal for their very first PWHL playoff game—some have never left the province, some have only briefly left Nain.

Moments like this remind me why I do this work. Hockey has the power to build bridges, open doors, and bring pure joy. I’m so grateful for the opportunity to share space, share stories, and keep growing the game in ways that truly matter.
