Happy Cinco de Mayo! 🎉 Just in time amano_caldwell has officially opened their brand-new location in downtown Caldwell — and it’s every bit as stunning as we hoped. Housed in a 100-year-old building across from indiancreekplaza, this space is moody, industrial, and still full of the warmth and spirit we’ve always loved.
Recently named one of the 50 Best Restaurants in the U.S. by The New York Times, Amano continues to shine under the leadership of James Beard–nominated chef Salvador Alamilla and co-owner Becca Alamilla.
We sampled: 
• TIRADITO – wild-caught salmon, grilled pineapple, tamarindo
• GARBANZO SPREAD – queso fresco, pea shoots
• PLATO DE CARNE ASADA – 9 oz skirt steak, with all the right sides
• SHORT-RIB TATEMADA – cooked using underground techniques, rich garbanzo consommé
• MOLE VERDE + Cauliflower – vegan, poblano-pistachio magic (shockingly our favorite of the night!)

And yes, their cocktail program holds its own — bold, intentional, and beautifully balanced. And make sure to visit their Mezcal room! 
They also feature a standout zero-proof menu, so everyone feels included at the table.
