This #WorldAsthmaDay, we’re highlighting a win for our lungs: The Centennial State adopted clean air standards that will #CutMethane in Colorado by 10%. The state anticipates the safeguards will cut as much climate pollution a year as produced by more than 104,000 gas-powered cars. Implementing standards to reduce methane can also benefit health by curbing the release of other toxic gases linked to asthma and other respiratory problems. And in a time when national safeguards are under threat, state-led climate action like this gives us hope that we can (and must) secure our stronger, healthier future.
